Service Warranty and Limitations
Due to the nature of our services, once a key is cut or a fob is programmed, the service is considered rendered and non-refundable. Because we work on customer-owned property—primarily vehicles—we can only guarantee that the keys or fobs we produce are properly cut and programmed to specification.
Spartan Security LLC does not guarantee the overall operability or mechanical condition of the vehicle, as we are not a licensed mobile mechanic service. Issues such as ignition cylinder damage, onboard computer malfunctions, or immobilizer faults are outside the scope of our services and warranty coverage.
We offer a lifetime warranty on key fobs against manufacturer defects, provided there is no evidence of physical damage, water damage, or tampering***. Batteries included with fobs are covered under a limited 90-day warranty. After this period, battery performance is considered regular maintenance and is the customer’s responsibility.
We do not warranty or guarantee any customer-supplied parts. This includes, but is not limited to, customer-provided keys, remotes, or fobs. If a customer chooses to use their own parts, they do so at their own risk, and any resulting issues will not be covered by Spartan Security LLC.
If we advise a customer of a likely issue or limitation, and the customer still requests service, a $75 diagnostic fee will apply to any return visit related to that same issue, particularly if it involves problems outside our scope of work or when the initial guidance was not followed.
All warranty work must be performed at the original service location. We schedule warranty service during regular service routes only and cannot guarantee availability for special trips or unscheduled visits. Customers will need to coordinate with us for warranty work to be completed on a standard service day when we are in the area.
At Spartan Security LLC, we take pride in our work and will always do our due diligence to ensure the highest quality service for our customers. However, some factors—such as pre-existing mechanical issues, software restrictions, or customer-supplied parts—are outside of our control and may impact the outcome of the service.
By requesting service, the customer acknowledges and agrees to these terms of service.
Definitions of Physical Damage and Water Intrusion
* Physical damage refers to any visible harm to the exterior of a key, fob, or related device. This includes, but is not limited to, cracks, chips, dents, broken buttons, or other signs of impact or misuse.
** Water intrusion is defined as any exposure to moisture or liquid that results in internal damage, typically identified by corrosion, rust, or discoloration on the circuit board or electronic components.
*** Physical damage, water damage, and tampering considered disqualifying conditions for warranty coverage. However, Spartan Security LLC reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to offer repair, replacement, or a discounted replacement under certain circumstances.
